For D-reizen I was a member of the design team. We changed their outdated site into a mainly searchbox driven site. Most visitors initially don't know where to go on holiday, they want to get inspired. Therefore a big part of this site is focused on finding a suitable holiday through the interactive worldmap, by browsing popular locations or by reading extensive information about countries and cultures. Another way of getting inspired are themes. For instance if you want to make a city trip, you'll get an overview of all cities and accomodations. With the easy-to-use filter options you'll narrow the possibilities down to a few and you're ready to book!
